The Internal Trainer & Operator is a hybrid role designed for employees who want to contribute to training and development while maintaining their full‑time operational responsibilities. The employee continues to work as a full‑time operator, and steps into the Internal Trainer function as needed, depending on onboarding volume, cross‑training needs, or project requirements.

 

This role is ideal for employees looking to grow coaching skills, support team development, and gain leadership exposure without permanently leaving their operational classification.


Responsibilities

  • Apply and promote safety standards
  • Perform necessary adjustments and settings during product changeovers
  • Carry out quality tests and make required adjustments
  • Collaborate with operational, mechanical, sanitation, and quality teams
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of processes
  • Support the internal trainer role by:
    • Integrating and coordinating the arrival of new employees through a structured onboarding process
    • Capture and validate training needs with managers
    • Guide and provide the status of flexibilities matrix in order to establish action plans for the development of employee skills
    • Create or modify training material including guides on the POKA tool

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred;
  • Bring relevant experience in a manufacturing and/or food production environment
  • Manage Priorities and multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to learn multiple positions and be able to work these positions on varying schedules;
  • Ability to effectively understand and follow a variety of guidelines and work procedures (including health, safety, hygiene and sanitation);
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Be comfortable with computerized technologies

     

    Salary:

    Starting wage of  $22.77 /h, increasing up to $31.04/h depending on experience
